Web Print Identity Marketing Product

I'm a graphic designer based in Brooklyn, NY.
I specialize in clean, legible layouts and seamless user experiences.
Below are a few recent projects. Thanks for having a look.

Jonathan Castro Designs

Responsive Web Design, Photography, Identity & Branding, HTML/CSS/jQuery

I redesigned the website for an up-and-coming ceramics start-up, Jonathan Castro Designs, using responsive templates, simple navigation, and clean layouts. I shot all product photos and wrote the website copy. I also created a series of stop-motion videos creatively highlighting Jonathan's creative process that have been featured on prominent industry Instagram accounts and have been his most-liked posts.

A Cook's Companion

Marketing, HTML Email Design, Responsive Web Design, Print Design, Merchandising Management

As manager of one of the top 10 independent kitchen shops in the country, I recently led a complete website redesign, with a focus on mobile-friendly, responsive templates. I also coordinate marketing strategy, design all signage and ads, develop the email list, and oversee promotional campaigns.

St. Petersburg Review

Book Design, Typography, Advertising, Production

I design the covers and interiors for St. Petersburg Review, a 200+ page literary journal published annually. I oversee the artistic direction of the journal, and I create all promotional materials including print ads, social media assets, and posters. I also manage the production of the book, coordinating with printers to maintain finished print quality, meeting our production timeline and budget.

Springhouse Journal

Logo Design, Identity & Branding, Responsive Web Design, Typography, HTML/CSS/jQuery

I designed the logo, identity, and coded all site templates for Springhouse Journal, an online literary journal. We focused on crafting a quiet, sophisticated space to emphasize thoughtful writing with elegant typography. The navigation is intuitive, the interface simple, but the visual brand remains bold and memorable, with a distinctive full-screen background video on each issue's main page.

St. Lydia's

Logo Design, Responsive Web Design, UX/UI Wireframing, Brand Development

I recently helped lead the brand development of St. Lydia's, an innovative Lutheran dinner church in Gowanus, Brooklyn. I adapted a new version of their logo and made the visual brand more sophisticated and modern to help appeal to a broader audience. I made wireframes and developed new styles for a website redesign that was focused on intuitive navigation, big, beautiful images, and responsive layout. I also regularly design printed materials, including, most recently, their annual report.
